About

Marissa Stanic, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner who offers a broad range of primary care, preventative care, and health maintenance services to people of all ages. She cares for patients who have high blood pressure, Type 1 and 2 diabetes, and offers women’s health services, including contraceptive implants.

As a mid-Missouri native, Marissa is proud to practice in Boonville and stay connected with her family and community. She chose to become a nurse practitioner after seeing the effects of chronic illness on the daily lives of her family members. This experience shaped her goal to help others navigate their health challenges and improve their quality of life through compassion and trust. Marissa’s care philosophy is grounded in respect, collaboration and patient empowerment, creating achievable, evidence-based care plans together. Her research interests include studying rural-urban health disparities and nurse burnout, as well as using nutrition and physical activity to create successful lifestyle modification plans.

Marissa and her husband, Kyler, have a dog named Brady. They greatly value spending time together and with family. Marissa’s hobbies include cycling on the Katy Trail, spending summers at the Lake of the Ozarks, and reading.
