About

Hailey Barron is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) and advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner (AOCNP) who focuses on benign, or noncancerous, blood and hematological conditions. She cares for patients who have hemophilia, sickle cell disease, anemia, hereditary and acquired bleeding and clotting disorders, and performs transfusion medicine procedures.

Hailey chose to become a nurse practitioner because she wanted to combine a passion for science and research with meaningful patient care, and her role allows her to treat patients while empowering them to take an active role in decisions about their health. Hailey takes pride in making sure each patient feels informed, respected and supported as she works with them to create treatments tailored to their needs and goals.

Clinical research is an important part of Hailey’s career, particularly the development of innovative therapies in benign hematology. Her research focuses on improving patient outcomes and quality of life for individuals with chronic bleeding and clotting disorders, with a doctoral thesis centered on transfusion medicine and its role in advancing care for patients with complex hematologic needs.

Hailey and her husband share a professional interest in health care and science. Outside of work, they’re often with their cat, Nala, or adventuring with their three dogs — Rosco, Charlie and Zia. A native of the Missouri Bootheel, Hailey loves cheering for the Tigers on Faurot Field. She enjoys reading, crafting, travel and recently started learning to golf.
