Cook Healthplex is here to help understand what provides real results and what only offers empty promises. The philosophy of complete health encompasses all aspects of mind, body and spirit to help you maximize your potential and strengthen your weaknesses. In addition to fitness programs and therapy regimens, guests also can align body with mind and spirit through massage therapy and eastern influenced programs such as yoga and tai chi.
We understand no two individuals are alike and, thus, no one program or protocol will work for everyone. That is why each patient or fitness center member is individually assessed to create personalized goals and plans to help reach those goals. Whether you are a patient recovering from heart surgery or a new mom looking to shape up we are available to develop a plan for you.
Fitness Programs
The Healthplex offers a number of options for reaching your fitness goals, ranging from group classes to modern cardiovascular equipment and free weights. Personal training sessions also are available from experience certified exercise physiologists.
New Dimensions Weight Loss Program - Group Program
Moving to a healthier lifestyle takes more than just a little extra sweat. In addition to helping clients learn how to exercise properly, safely and effectively through personal training, the Healthplex also offers nutrition guidance and counseling through its New Dimensions Weight Loss Program.
This Program will show you how to lose weight safely and keep it off. This medically supervised weight loss program features:
Weekly educational meetings
Regular weigh-ins
Daily menu plans
Behavior modification instruction
Information on Regular exercise

One on One Nutrition Counseling
Healthplex members have access to one on one nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian. Consults will include topics like general healthy eating, weight loss, food allergies, specialty diets and what is right for you to reach your optimal wellness.
Consultation Times are
Monday mornings from 7-9 am and
Thursday afternoons from 3-6 pm.
Cost: Healthplex Members:
$40 hour or $25/half hour, Non-Members:
$50/hour or $35/half hour.

Cancer Wellness Program
The Healthplex is proud to bring the only program of this kind to Jefferson City. Working alongside physical therapists and oncology nurses, the personal trainers work both with patients undergoing treatment for cancer and survivors who have completed their course of treatment. All the team members involved in the Cancer Wellness Program have completed highly specialized training to help participants have more energy, lose fat, build muscle and achieve a more postive outlook.
The program touches all facets of health, from diet and exercise to emotional and social support. The program consists of 12 weeks of educational meetings and exercise sessions.
Healthplex staff members all have one quality in common: your health and well being is their passion. From health assessments to developing attainable goals this team of experts will be with you each and every step of the way offering guidance and encouragement to help you be your best.

Membership Options
The Healthplex offers fitness plans for ages 18+. A parent must accompany youths under age 15. Following is a list of membership descriptions:
REGULAR: any community member under age 62;
SENIOR: any member age 62+;
FAMILY MEMBER: legal spouse and dependent children ages 10 and over.
COMPANY SPONSORED: a business that has signed a Corporate Fitness contract;
Monday through Friday 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.
Getting
Started
An exercise physiologist or exercise specialist will guide
you in planning your personal fitness program. It all starts with an initial
health and fitness assessment to identify flexibility, strength and endurance
needs. Then, an individual program is designed to help you achieve success in
a safe and healthy manner.
