In the era
of organizing golf tournaments to raise money for various causes, Capital
Region Medical Foundation has been able to maintain a unique niche
in the mid-Missouri area with regards to its golf tournament, the Bill
Quigg Memorial.
The tournament
is named after a gentleman, Bill Quigg, who during his life gave endlessly
of himself to not only Capital Region Medical Center, but also the
entire Jefferson City community. With Mr. Quigg passing in 1997, Capital
Region saw the golf tournament as a way to pay tribute to Mr. Quigg
and continue his legacy of giving.
Funds raised
through the Bill Quigg Memorial are used for a specific project within
the Medical Center. A project that the Foundation and the Medical Center
feels can touch the most lives and, as Mr. Quigg did, affect someone’s
life in a positive way. The sponsors and participants in this tournament
realize the value of their support. By supporting this tournament,
they are supporting Capital Region Medical Center’s mission to
improve the health, and administer to the health care needs, of the
people and communities we serve.
